Zendaya Pays Tribute to ‘Euphoria’ Co-Star Angus Cloud

The rising actor died this week at the age of 25.

Zendaya is honoring the “infinite beauty” that is “Euphoria” co-star Angus Cloud. The rising actor, best known for portraying Fezco or "Fez" on the HBO drama series, was found unresponsive at his family home in Oakland, Ca, earlier this week. He was 25 years old.

"Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor)," the Primetime Emmy Award winner captioned a black-and-white photo of the late actor. "I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I’m smiling now just thinking of it)."

The “Dune” star continued. "I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love…'they could light up any room they entered' but boy let me tell you, he was the best at it. I’d like to remember him that way. For all of the boundless light, love and joy he always managed to give us. I’ll cherish every moment."

Speaking to Cloud’s family, Zendaya wrote, “My heart is with his mother and family at this time.” She concluded her statement by cautioning others to “please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone.

Zendaya played recovering teenage drug addict Rue Bennett on the critically acclaimed series. Cloud’s Fez was a drug dealer and close friend of Rue. The pair both attended Oakland School of the Arts.

Cloud was pronounced dead on Monday, July 31, after the Oakland Fire Department responded to a medical emergency at approximately 11:30 a.m. The actor buried his father just the week before and reportedly struggled to cope with his passing. At this time, his cause of death is unknown.

Cloud’s fame came by luck after the “Euphoria” casting department discovered him on the street. The series marked his first-ever acting gig. He is set to appear in several upcoming films, including an untitled Universal monsters film, set to release sometime in 2024 and the movies “Freaky Tales,” and “Your Lucky Day.”
