Did Lamar Odom Purposely Not See His Kids When He Visited NYC?

Not everybody is happy about his return to public life.

Last week, Lamar Odom walked into Madison Square Garden alongside Kanye West for the Yeezy Season 3 show and showed the world just how far he's come since he nearly died of a drug overdose four months ago. While most people were thrilled to see Odom back on his feet, his kids are not too happy with his NYC trip.

"He didn't see his kids when he was in NYC and the kids were upset," an insider tells Us. "They were supposed to come out and see him, but Lamar has been embarrassed to call them and they are angry."

Another source confirms that Odom's two children with ex-girlfriend Liza MoralesDestiny, 17, and Lamar Jr., 13 — "were very upset" about not seeing their dad. Understandably, the kids wanted to see their dad in the flesh after nearly losing him last year. According to the source, timing was likely to blame as Lamar was only in New York for 24 hours and returned to Los Angeles on February 12, the day after the Yeezy show. Still, it must feel like a slap in the face to have to watch your dad on a Jumbotron in Times Square when he's just a few hundred feet away.

Destiny and Lamar Jr. were flown out by Khloé Kardashian immediately after he was hospitalized, when doctors feared the worst, to be at Lamar's bedside an then returned to Los Angeles to spend Christmas with their dad. Lamar Jr. had shared the first photo of his father since the ordeal, looking happy and healthy, just after the holiday visit.
