Update: Here's Who Killed The Voice Singer Christina Grimmie

Cops identified the man who murdered the young star at a concert last night.

Police have identified the man responsible for the death of 22-year-old singer, Christina Grimmie. The young singer, who made her name on NBC’s The Voice, was signing autographs after a show in Orlando's The Plaza Live Theater. 

On Saturday, Orlando police announced that the man who had shot and killed Grimmie was Kevin James Loibl, 27. Grimmie was rushed to a hospital to try and save her life, but she passed away shortly after.

Police announced that Loibl drove from his home to the concert on Friday night. They added that there is evidence that the killer had planned the attack, and that there were indications that he could get away with it. 

Many have taken to Twitter to give their condolences.

According to police Chief John Mina, the shooter reportedly had brought two handguns, two additional loaded magazines, and a large hunting knife. Marcus Grimmie, Christina's older brother is being hailed as a hero after he tackled Loibl, stopping Loibl from continuing his attack.

Loibl fatally shot himself during the struggle with Christina's brother after he tackled him.

Loibl's released a statement that they hang from their front door. "Deepest sorrow for lost to the family, friends, and fans of the very talented, loving Christina Grimmie. No other comments," it read.

The theater in which the attack occurred also released a statement announcing that all events have been suspended "until further notice." They too shared words of support to Grimmie's family and fans, saying, "Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who lost as well as those that witnessed and aided in the recovery of this senseless act."
