Viral Singer Keedron Bryant Shares Video Of Himself In The Studio With Dr. Dre

The 12-year-old captured hearts across America for his tribute dedicated to George Floyd, ‘I Just Wanna Live.’

It appears Keedron Bryant, the 12-year-old boy who went viral for his tribute to George Floyd, is working with none other than Dr. Dre.

  • On Saturday (July 4), the teen posted a minute-long video of the exchange. Bryant powerfully sang “I Just Wanna Live'' acapella while his producer, Dem Jointz, played the piano. Dre listened on, enraptured by the moving performance.

“That’s what’s up young man,” the Compton legend praised him once he was finished, giving him a high five before enveloping him in a hug.

  • In late May, Bryant first posted a 50-sec clip of himself singing “I Just Wanna Live” acapella to his Instagram page. The moving ode, which was written by his mother Johnetta Bryant in dedication to George Floyd, captured hearts across America. The song received praise from the likes Will Smith, LeBron James, Barack Obama, Lupita Nyong'o and Janet Jackson who were among the celebrities that reshared the snippet on their social feeds.

Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am gave the song his endorsement and dropped a remix at the end of May.

Shortly after going viral, Bryant signed to Warner Records and officially released “I Just Wanna Live” in June, with 100% of the net profits of the song going to the NAACP, according to the Associated Press.
