Kehlani’s ‘Folded’ Remixes Unite Generations of R&B Greats
Kehlani is on a high right now as the singer’s latest single, “Folded,” has social media buzzing.
The “SweetSexySavage” singer recently shared that there will be a “Folded Homage Remix Pack” released featuring remixes from JoJo, Tank, Toni Braxton, Brandy, Mario, and Ne-Yo.
No release date has been announced, but fans can pre-save the pack now.
A few of the artists named have already released remixes.
The record has reached No. 1 on Billboard’s US Rhythmic chart and No. 18 on the Hot 100.
To continue promoting the record, the “After Hours” singer offered free laundry services for moms across various US cities back in August, according to a report from BET.com.
“growing up i knew how hard it was for all the single mamas in my family to get the tasks done on top of it all. clean clothes is a basic necessity. i got yall. thank you,” she captioned.
“i love you mommy’s. you deserve the world.”
She shared how the popular track came about during a recent interview with Billboard(conducted by her daughter, Adeya).
“I was working with my friends. I was in Miami on a work trip and I heard the beat and I loved the beat and so I took it in a room and me and some collaborators made the song together,” she explained.
On her reasoning as to why she decided to release this record after not putting out music in a while, she expressed that she thought it was a “really cool way to come back into music.”
“I was pretty confident about it. I thought it was a good song.”
