‘Euphoria’ Star Nika King Reveals She Hasn’t Paid Her Rent In Six Months Due To Production Delay

“This is some bull - - - -. I thought my career was on the rise,” said the actor.

Nika King is getting candid about her money woes as an actor in a hit drama series.

While taking center stage during a comedy bit in Los Angeles, King discussed the harsh reality of the state of her career and her finances. She posted the clip to Instagram, which has shined a light on the TV industry following the 2023 strike that occurred last year, resulting in actors, producers, and writers being unable to work.

“My mom don’t like it when I curse. Enjoy,” she said in the caption of the post.

Shows to watch if you like Euphoria

"People are like, "We need Season 3!" and I’m like, "B - - - -, I need Season 3!"' she said of Max's "Euphoria." On the show, King plays Zendaya's on-screen mother.

"'I haven’t paid my rent in six months!" she continued. "Zendaya’s over in Paris at Fashion Week, and I’m like, "B- - - h, come home! I need you! Mama needs you,"' she quipped.

"You're laughing and I’m serious. I haven’t booked nothing since Euphoria," she told the audience.

"'This is some bull - - - -. I thought my career was on the rise after Euphoria, I thought I was good,' she added.

"It don’t work that way. I called Taraji [P. Henson] and she was like, "B - - - h, get used to it."'

In February 2020, season two of the drama series aired its last episode. Elle reports that the next season is slated to premiere in 2025.
