Devastating news for Snoop Dogg’s family: his daughter Cori Broadus announced the death of her 10-month-old daughter, Codi Dreaux. Cori shared the news on an Instagram story, writing, “Monday I lost the love of my life. My Codi.”

Her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, shared his own tribute to his late daughter, posting a photo of himself holding the bundled baby with the caption, "I been the saddest since u left me Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you."

Broadus announced her pregnancy in December 2024, and two months later, she shared that Codi had been born extremely premature, 6 months into her pregnancy. 

Broadus shared in a social media post, "The princess arrived at 6 months. I’ve cried and cried, I’ve compared and compared, blaming myself because I wasn’t able to give her all that she needed. But no matter what God always shows me that He got me!"

Codi spent the majority of her short life in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Broadus very generously shared her pregnancy journey during her time in NICU and was very candid about the complications that arose following her daughter's birth.  She was finally discharged and brought home in January, a moment the family celebrated, but heartbreak followed just 20 days later when the infant passed away on Jan. 26. 

In the wake of the announcement, Snoop posted a warm family photo with Cori and his sons, offering a quiet show of support for Cori and Deuce. Other family members, including Cori’s brother Cordell, publicly expressed their love and condolences, posting, “Lil sis, we got you forever." 

Broadus’ pregnancy had been complicated. She previously spoke publicly about pregnancy challenges, including a HELLP syndrome diagnosis and an emergency C-section; those medical challenges were part of the difficult road that preceded Codi’s long NICU stay. 

Broadus opened up to US Weekly about her daughter while in the NICU and said, “That girl is so feisty. That’s a feisty girl. She just has so much character," Broadus shared. "The doctors and nurses always tell me, 'Your baby got her mind. She’s smart. She’s alert. She knows what’s going on. She can hear. She can see. Yeah, the circumstances are not what you thought they would be, but it could be worse.' That girl is just a sweet little firecracker."

Fans and family sent condolences across social media platforms, and Cori expressed gratitude for the support while Codi battled in the hospital, which made this loss feel especially raw to followers who had cheered the family’s small victories.
