Cardi B Says She Is Open To Having Another Baby

The Bronx rapper opens up about growing her family, joking about nursing homes, and making space for more little ones in her life and on her skin.

Cardi B is opening up about motherhood and making it clear her family isn’t finished growing. In a preview of her appearance on “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” the Bronx rapper admitted she wants more children — and even cracked a joke about it.

“Yes,” she answered when Hudson asked if more kids were in her future. Smiling, Cardi added, “The more kids you have, the less of a possibility you go to, like, a [nursing] home. One of them is gonna wipe my butt!”

The Grammy winner is already a mom of three, all with her ex, Offset. She gave birth to daughter Kulture in 2018, welcomed her son Wave in 2021, and had her youngest, Blossom, last September. Cardi revealed she’s running out of space to tattoo her children’s names, saying she may need to get creative with a cherry blossom design in honor of her baby girl.

Cardi also opened up about how she keeps her kids grounded despite their star-powered life. She explained that she relies on her family to keep her children connected to reality. “They have like a lot of cousins and a lot of my friends, they still outside, they still in the hood,” she said. “I want them to know that there's another world out there that is not your world. It’s not always about the backyard, and foxes and deers—there’s rats and mices.”

Earlier this month, Cardi confronted a reporter outside a courthouse who asked if she was pregnant again with Offset’s child and if she would “foresee any paternity issues” with her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. The “WAP” rapper threw a marker pen at him and said, “Stop disrespecting me.”

“I still love you even though you just threw some stuff at me,” he responded.

“I don’t care. You’re disrespectful, don’t do that,” Cardi snapped back. “Do you see women asking those type of questions to me? Why do you feel, as a man, [that] you get to ask me those type of questions? Act like you have some manners. And your mama taught you: respect women.”

Her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I the Drama?, is set to arrive on Sept. 19.
