Offset Calls Elon Musk a ‘Racist’ Who’s ‘Playin In Black Folks Faces’

The Tesla CEO reposted a video from Ben Shapiro declaring that Derek Chauvin be released from prison.

Offset made his opposition against Elon Musk known after the Tesla CEO indirectly issued support for Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who killed George Floyd.

On Tuesday, March 4, Musk, who’s owned X, formerly Twitter, since 2022, reposted a video of conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, calling for the overturn of Chauvin’s conviction.

“The inciting event for the BLM riots that caused $2 billion in property damage in the United States and set America’s race relations on their worst footing in my lifetime was, in fact, the railroading of Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd,” Shapiro said in the video.

“Something to think about,” Musk wrote alongside the repost.

The reposting offended Offset, who shared his position on Instagram. “Racist bitch playin in black folks faces,” the former Migos member wrote, adding that he’s “Driving Ferrari not Tesla.”

Shapiro’s campaigning for Chauvin has gone as far as an entire website petition for the former cop, who was sentenced to 21 years for the violation for Floyd’s rights. Floyd's death, caused by Chauvin kneeling on his neck while apprehended, triggered widespread protests against racial injustice and police brutality. Unless pardoned by Trump, Chauvin is not expected to be released until 2038.
