Kevin Liles Confirms Young Thug Label Deal

"Stoner" rapper signs to Lyor Cohen's 300 Entertainment along with Migos and more talent.

Young Thug is officially signed to 300 Entertainment, the independent label headed by Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles confirmed.

Liles talked about the deal with Revolt, revealing that the "Stoner" rapper joins Migos and other new talent on their expanding roster. "We have a deal with Young Thug that I'm excited about," he said, adding that there are "four artists" that the imprint is "in the midst of working things out with," but would not elaborate.

"Our business motto is this: if you're out there takings risks, we wanna reward you with a great deal," Liles explained to Revolt. "There should be no cookie-cutter deal. There should be a smorgasbord of deals that we could do with entrepreneurs. We built a platform, similar to what we did with Roc-A-Fella, Murder Inc., Disturbing Tha Peace, Ruff Ryders, we just provided platforms for people to build companies."

Young Thug's deal takes the 21-year-old Atlanta native out of limbo, after Gucci Mane signed him to a "binding production deal" in 2013 and a contract with Artists Partners Group through Atlantic Records. The APG deal reportedly only netted a $15,000 advance for the up-and-coming rhymer.

Now, with 300 backing him, Young Thug can move forward with putting out a debut album.
