We haven't seen much of Beyoncé's wedding dress from her secret 2008 nuptials with Jay Z, but the little that we did see was beautiful — or at least we think so.

According to Mrs. Tina, Beyoncé's mother and the designer of her top secret wedding gown, Beyoncé may not have been a big fan of her dress at first. 

In an interview with the Today Show, Tina revealed that although Beyoncé was "sweet" to let her design the dress, that feeling didn't last forever.

Shortly after Tina came up with the design for Bey's big day, the "Freedom" singer dropped a small bomb on her crafty mom. "She came back later one day and she said, ‘You know, when my daughter gets married, I’m going to let her pick out her own dress. Maybe she wasn’t so excited about it at the time, but she’s a sweetheart."

Even though the Queen wasn't so enthused about her mom's creation at first, she still cites her mom for instilling her appreciation for fashion and hard work, as seen in her powerful acceptance speech at this year's CFDA Awards.
