WWE Terminates Hulk Hogan's Contract Over Racist Tirade

Pro wrestling giant reportedly heard hurling N-word on recording.

As of Friday morning, Hulk Hogan's name was scrubbed clean from the WWE's website and the sports entertainment giant has confirmed that it has terminated the pro wrestling icon's contract.

The move reportedly stems from an old recording in which Hogan goes on a racial tirade about his daughter Brooke Hogan to his then-lover Heather Clem, as reported by The National Enquirer.

"She is making some real bad decisions now," Hulk reportedly says in the recording. "My daughter Brooke jumped sides on me. I spent $2-3 million on her music career, I’ve done everything like a jackass for her.”

He continued, "The one option Brooke had, Brooke’s career besides me, is [to] sell beach records."

He then refers to a "Black billionaire guy" who reportedly offered to fund her music career.

"I mean, I don’t have double standards," he added. "I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f*****g n*****s. But then when it comes to nice people and s**t, and whatever. I guess we’re all a little racist. Fucking n****r."

After sending out the following cryptic tweet, Hogan offered an apology via TMZ Sports.

"Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation," he said in a statement to TMZ. "It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language. There is no excuse for it and I apologize for having done it."

The WWE has not specified that this alleged recording is the reason for Hogan's dismissal, yet it's widely believed at this point that it definitely is responsible for his firing.
