Mother Of Tristan Thompson's Latest Child Speaks Out After He Admits To Being The Father

Maralee Nichols is currently suing the Sacramento Kings player.

Tristan Thompson is in a media firestorm after admitting he fathered a child with former personal trainer Maralee Nichols. She has now released a statement.

In a statement to PEOPLE, Nichols’ rep said, "There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichol's baby. Tristan made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past few months, and she is taking his contrite statement today in the context of all of those statements.”

In early December, Thompson accused Nichols of trying “to achieve some sort of notoriety and gain for herself” by saying she was the father of her child.

His ex, Khloe Kardashian, who is the mother of 3-year-old daughter True, has not spoken out since Thompson issued an apology, which read, “Khloé, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don't deserve the way I have treated you over the years. My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."

The Sacramento Kings forward also has a 5-year-old son named Prince with ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig.

Nichols and Thompson’s son, whose name is not public, was born in early December. Nichols is suing for pregnancy-related fees and child support, PEOPLE reports.
