Gucci Mane Just Gave Himself a New Nickname
Gucci Mane has had many nicknames in his rap career. Gucci Mane La Flare. Big Guwop. Mr. Zone 6. Trap God.
Now, the incarcerated rapper wants to call himself “The Machine.” In a new written letter for his fans, The Machine explained what the moniker means:
“The difference between me and the average entertainer is they dream of signing to a major label so they can have this giant machine push them and propel them to stardom, but I don’t have that dream,” he wrote. “My reality is I am all I got. I am the machine behind me. The streets signed me and the Trap named me God. I am a Machine. They call me Gucci, some call me Guwop, but they should call me The Machine.”
Gucci also decided it was a perfect time to announce yet another project coming out in 2016. So far, he’s ending the year with his upcoming movie, The Spot, as well as its accompanying soundtrack that are both set to drop soon. This album will add to his abundance of mixtapes, which only further proves Guwop is the hardest working MC in the game.
Look for The Machine to kick off 2016.
