Remember that scene from Power that set 50 Cent off after his junk was put on full display? Soon after seeing it, he and the series' showrunner, Courtney Kemp, went at it on social media over the nude scene and its approval.
Now, in a Refinery29 interview, Kemp revealed that their feud was completely fabricated for ratings.
"It's all bulls**t! 50 and I are extremely close, so all that social media drama? It's just for the show," she said. "People truly believed that he did not know his d**k was going to be on camera. I couldn't believe it! Do you know how long we had to prepare for that shot? Of course he knew."
Kemp went on to explain that both she and Fiddy consciously fabricated this "marketing strategy" to stir up buzz for the show — which, ultimately, worked in their favor.
"The whole thing just gave us so much more buzz and helped me realize how we can use social media to our advantage," she said. "50 Cent is a brilliant marketer."
The fourth season of Power is set to air this summer on Starz.
