Erykah Badu Has One Thought About Young Thug's 'Jeffery' Cover

A nod from Badu is an incredible compliment.

As the conversations continue to revolve around the artist formerly known as Young Thug, one major key player has offered the ultimate compliment.

Taking to both her Instagram and Twitter accounts, Erykah Badu showed some love to Jeffery’s new album art. In fact, Badu was so excited about the rapper’s look that she hinted that it reminded her of another esteemed rapper’s effeminate fashion choices.

“Amazing Thugger,” Badu wrote on Twitter. “Reminds me of a certain ATLien I know.”

Comparing Thug to Andre 3000 was intended to be garnered as a sincere compliment, while some on social media thought that her comment was a slight at the rapper. Regardless, it’s important to point out the obvious that a co-sign from someone as influential and eccentric as Badu holds weight in today’s music world, and a comparison to someone like Andre 3000 doesn’t get thrown out there every day.

Young Thug is doing something really interesting and creative, so it’s nice to see a fellow boundary-pusher give props.

Take a look at Badu’s posts below.
