Tyga Signs to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music, Twitter Goes All the Way In

Migos is also reportedly signed to Ye's imprint.

Kanye West made quite a splash yesterday (September 7) when he announced a few new additions to the G.O.O.D. Music artist roster.

Migos, who left 300 Entertainment in September of last year, was surprising enough, seeing as how the indie route seemed to be treating them well. Tyga, Kanye’s sister-in-law’s current boo, though? The guy constantly making missteps with his finances? The rapper whose most recent LP, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, went double floppy disk? Twitter, like us, had questions.

“Pray for Kanye, who just had to sign Tyga, his 3rd cousin, twice repossessed,” a Twitter user joked. Tyga getting the Kardashian stimulus package. I need that,” another said.

In January, Tyga said he was working with West on what would eventually be his The Life Of Pablo album. Quavo posted a photo to Instagram in March of Migos with Kanye and others. In June, Ye’s “Champions” single dropped, which features Quavo as the first voice heard.

Prior to his reported signing to G.O.O.D. Music, Tyga had a well-documented public feud with Birdman and YMCMB. He, along with other artists still on the label, claim Baby is holding them from releasing any albums. Lil Wayne sued Young Money in 2015 for $51 million, which many believe had to do with the prolonged blocking of his release of Tha Carter V.
