Not Having It: T.I. Hit the Streets to Protest Donald Trump's Election
T.I.’s been on his game recently and it came to a head last night (November 9).
He, along with other rappers like Meek Mill and the general public, hit the streets of New York City to unite in opposition to Donald Trump’s now successful bid at the presidency. Chants of “not my president” rang out, not just in New York, but Oakland, St. Paul, Minnesota, and another areas as well.
From just outside of Trump Tower, the Atlanta rapper was captured on video flipping the bird to The Donald’s prized edifice.
“‘She got more votes’ ‘we reject the president elect’ The people ain’t goin for it….I’m right here wit em!!!!,” he captioned under the Instagram vid he posted to his account. Other videos he put up include him saying, “This ain’t supposed to be how people react to the election of the president. This ain’t what we built up for, this ain’t what we about. This some bulls**t.”
“I swear on my life, If I could’ve done more I would’ve,” T.I. also captioned in one of his videos. “We all deserve better. We just gotta live through this & prepare ourselves for what’s next.”
Donald Trump will be the 45th president of the United States. He clinched victory after taking key battleground states like Wisconsin and Pennsylvania (which typically vote Democratic). Hillary Clinton currently holds a lead in the popular vote, but it’s only a consolation prize in an outcome few saw coming.
