Is This The First Song Off of Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter V'?

Mannie Fresh shares a teaser.

Lil Wayne has been eager to get some new music out, after spending the entirety of this year at war with Cash Money label boss Birdman

This weekend, frequent Wayne collaborator and producer Mannie Fresh shared a snippet of a new single, adding to the anticipation surrounding Weezy's long-awaited Tha Carter V album.

Previously referring to the album as some of the best music he's ever heard, let alone made, Lil Wayne has been busy in the studio, perhaps even just to take his mind off of his current situation with Birdman.

While things are still a little complicated, as the album's release remains dependent on Lil Wayne and Cash Money figuring out their differences, the preview that Mannie Fresh shared is a perfect distraction from all of that ongoing mess.

The new single, "Start This S**t Off Right," was featured on the tentative tracklist for the album, but originally featured Christina Milian, and not Fresh, which has some fans wondering what exactly it is they are listening to. Either way, the fact that Lil Wayne is steady cooking in the studio is never a bad thing.

Take a listen to the song Mannie Fresh recently previewed on the DaTakeover podcast below.
