A year ago today (April 21), the world was in a collective state of disbelief as word spread like wildfire that the beloved legendary musician fondly known as Prince had passed away at his Paisley Park estate.
Now that a full year has come and gone, with many still processing the fact that the icon is no longer physically with us and the investigation surrounding his death is still ongoing, fans are taking to social media to honor his legacy, reflect on his influence and, of course, revisit his extensive catalog of music.
As his personal friends and collaborators, such as Morris Day, pay tribute to the late icon, many are expressing just how much the Purple One will always mean to them on the one-year anniversary of his death.
Take a look at how fans are toasting to Prince in the posts below and be sure to add your own memories, thoughts and well wishes using the hashtag #BETRemembersPrince.
