With Cardi B’s summer smash hit breakout track “Bodak Yellow” conquering radio waves, DJ sets and club banger playlists in 2017, it’s nearly impossible not to hop on her wave that’s washing over the highest of Billboard charts.
But, as in the bars of Cardi herself, “Lil b***h, you can’t f**k with me if you wanted to,” and the Bronx femcee took to MoMA PS1 stage to remind an unnamed foe-turned-newfangled friend of her hit single’s leading lyric now that she’s trying to jump on the Bardi Gang boat.
During her set, Cardi took a moment to address the unspecified “friend” with some very specific words.
“You know this b***h she never f**king liked me, and all of a sudden she want to be friends with me — no, b**ch,” Cardi declared. “I still don’t like you b***h.”
Like clockwork, fans threw on their Inspector Gadget trench coats and snatched up their social media magnifying glasses to decode who exactly Cardi was calling out. The missing piece to their investigation is obviously a name, which the 24-year-old left out, so some fans attempted to fill in the gap with another reigning raptress, Nicki Minaj.
But after Nicki tacitly expressed her support for “Bodak Yellow,” which Cardi noticeably hasn’t rejected, fans may need to do a little more digging to figure this one out.
