The chaos which ensued after Kim Kardashian took to social media to showcase her new 'do, or "Bo Derek braids," has trickled down into being a hot button issue all week. 

But, if you ask Azealia Banks, the backlash is rather unnecessary at this point. 

According to the Harlemite, the reality star's critics, #BlackTwitter included, simply need to relax ― because it's "just hair."

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday night (Jan. 31), the "212" rapper wrote a lengthy post about the backlash that set social media ablaze. "Why are black folk as mad [at] Kim Kardashian's braids ... I don't get it?" she began. 

"It's just hair...Don't all women wear weaves and wigs and shit nowadays?" she continued. "Save that energy for sh*t that really matters.."
