The world recently lost two beautiful souls when it was announced that R&B singer Leah LaBelle and her husband, ex-NBA player Rasual Butler, were tragically killed in a single car crash on Jan. 31. While the two may no longer be with us anymore, their presence is definitely not forgotten. A number of celebrities from the hip-hop and music community have expressed their emotions in sweet tribute posts on Twitter.
Pharrell Williams, Ice Cube and Jermaine Dupri were among the handful of artists who posted a heartfelt message about LaBelle and Butler. “Your spirit was just as your voice; beautiful,” Pharrell said of Leah attached to a photo of. “Moments like these leave us with so many questions. What I don’t question is how much you loved God, how much you love your life partner and where you guys are now. Sing Sis, sing.”
LaBelle was first introduced to the industry back in 2004 as a contestant on season three of American Idol. She was soon signed to Epic Records, where she recorded two songs that charted on the Billboard Hot 100.
