One particular Hollywood star has some harsh words for JT, too.

As avid fans of the Purple One protested, the hologram of the late, great musical legend Prince did not see the light of day on the halftime stage at the Super Bowl LII despite rumors of one planned for Justin Timberlake’s performance.

And though they were pleased that JT granted Prince’s wishes after death, fans still had a bone to pick with the "Sexy Back" singer — an 11-year-old bone.

Amid his performance, where he sat in his piano element as a life-sized projection of a performing Prince towered above him followed by an illusory purple wash over of the city of Minneapolis, the internet dug up Justin and Prince’s 2007 beef. It all started when Prince made commentary regarding the premise of JT’s smash “Sexy Back” hit of 2006.

“For whoever is claiming that they are bringing sexy back, sexy never left!” Prince said. The Man of the Woods artist clapped back a year later with his “Give It to Me” song, which seemed to take jabs back at Prince’s commentary.

One Golden Globes joke from Justin later, where he poked fun at Prince’s short stature, and the Purple Army would never let him live down the controversy with the Prince of Funk. Apparently, Hollywood film and comedy star Sinbad didn't either.

See their beef with JT's Super Bowl Prince tribute and all the receipts they've pulled in defense of the High Priest of Pop below.
