Yikes: Here’s Why DJ Envy Walked Out On ‘The Breakfast Club’ Live On Air

“You owe my wife an apology.”

Things got heated on Thursday’s episode of the world’s most dangerous morning show The Breakfast Club when Desus Nice and The Kid Mero dropped in for a conversation with the radio trio.

Apparently, the two hosts of Desus & Mero had some shady words about DJ Envy’s wife on one of their previous episodes, which the Power 105.1 host didn’t take kindly to. But, even after their apology, Envy left the rest of the show to his two co-hosts to finish up after he walked off live on air.

From the introduction of Thursday morning’s show, it was blatantly evident that much tension was in the room when Envy introduced the Viceland show hosts as “D**khead and P**sy.”

The men laughed it off, but eventually asked Envy where all the hostility was coming from, to which he replied, “You owe my wife an apology.”

He explained that during a recent Desus & Mero episode, the duo took shots and him and his wife, Gia Casey, when the couple appeared on The Real. The men suggested that Gia was only with Envy for a check, an insinuation that he adamantly defended her against. The two men were confused, explaining that the comment was only a joke. Not that it matter to Envy, though, who furiously scolded them for bringing his family into the mix.

“When my wife heard it, she thought it was disrespectful,” he said. “Absolutely disrespectful.”

Both Desus and Mero agreed that they wouldn’t cross that line with Envy ever again after things simmered down from the flare-up within the first few minutes of the show. However, Envy might have needed a few minutes to cool down since he got up and walked out of the studio afterward while the men were on to a totally different topic.

We’ll let you see what happened next and what Envy’s co-hosts, Angela Yee and Charlamagne Tha God, had to say about the impromptu exit below.
