The Internet Is At War Over Nicki Minaj's Well Wishes For Tekashi 6ix9ine

Welp... this isn't a good look.

Nicki Minaj's open support of problematic wild child Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez, has had many tossing copious amounts of side-eye. Things haven't been easy for the Bronx rapper, in light of his recent arrest on charges (including but not limited to) racketeering, drug trafficking and armed robbery. He was already on probation for the use of a child during a sexual act and the federal indictment is rumored to sentence him to life in prison. According to TMZ this past Thursday (Nov. 22), amid firing his entire team who were also arrested and receiving death threats, the "Gummo" emcee was transferred after potentially cutting a deal with the Feds and distancing himself from gang affiliates.

His "Fefe" co-star took to Instagram to publicly issued a heartfelt statement of support.

  • "Danny, I love you and am praying for you, your Mother, daughter & her Mom during this time," she penned

His debut album, Dummy Boy, which was set for release on Friday (Nov. 23) has also been shelved for the time being "for reasons beyond music."

  • However, some aren't too happy with the 'Queen' over her continued support

  • While many aren't cancelling the femcee unlike others prior, the shade is blinding.
