Da Brat Says She Isn't Muting R. Kelly, And Fans Are Infuriated
When it comes to handing out cancellations, it seems that anyone (and we mean anyone) is liable to be served their walking papers, courtesy of the culture. Over the weekend, the first lady of neo-soul, Erykah Badu, got booed offstage for her selective and unfavored stance on R. Kelly. Fat Belly Bella stated that she loves Robert unconditionally, but didn't "support his poor choices." However, fans already began their campaign against her, and now the internet would like to have a word with So So Def femcee Da Brat.
At the Trumpet Awards this past Saturday (Jan. 19), the Unrestricted rapper chopped it up with TMZ to share her thoughts on the Pied Piper. Being clearly torn on the disturbing reports against him, Brat feels he does "need help." Despite never witnessing "anything bad" firsthand, she wondered, "Where are the parents?"
Brat continued, "I think the parents need to take responsibility."
Similar to sentiments that had the internet ready to read Master P for filth, she just felt "something's wrong" with the victims' parents being so lax with their teenage daughters.
Naturally, fans would've preferred if da Brat stayed Mute on this particular situation
