Snoop Dogg and YG took the stage as two of many celebrities to honor the late Nipsey Hussle at his Celebration of Life memorial at the Staples Center in downtown LA.

Decked out in "Nipsey Blue," Snoop, whom fans often mirrored Nip to, was emotional in his speech. He kicked off showing love to Lauren London first, while offering his support.

"I want to start off my showing some love to Lauren and Nipsey's children," he said. "I want to send Lauren a lot of love for being the beloved queen to our king. See, what we lose focus on is that every Black man needs a Black woman in his life!

"It was like Black excellence [every time I saw them]. It reminded me of myself and my wife. You love to see that. With that being said, Lauren, my wife, my family, my kids we here you. We love you, baby girl. We always have and we always will!"

Afterward, Snoop gave props to Nipsey's parents, Angelique Smith and Dawit Asghedom, while assuring Nip's father that he has "another son" in him.

"Next, I want to acknowledge Nipsey’s father, ‘cause Nip always benefited from having a strong man in his life and his father clearly did a good job," he continued. "He showed Nip how to be a strong man, a strong Black man. It was always amazing when I'd go to the [Marathon] store. Pull up, no security, nothing. And I'd see his pops, and I could see the look on his face, and he was so proud of his boys. Pops, you may have lost a son, but you picked up another son in me.

Snoop ended his speech with a few words to Nipsey's mother, thanking her for her strength, which he said helped carry him and fans over.

"And now I've got send a bundle of love to Nipsey’s mother," he said. "Lord have mercy. What great strength that she showed. She helped us out. Mother, I want to say this to you dearly without reading it. When you said what you said to us, you really uplifted us. We had no understanding. We had no, nothing. But you gave us what we needed. You gave us the sense and purpose to know and understand that it was all right. Because we did not understand at all. We had no clarity. We was more or less concerned about you. Concerned about Lauren. Concerned about the family. We want to thank you, mother, for being strong and for making us strong. You made us understand that it was alright. You made us feel good.

"Nipsey’s mother prepared us for this day in the future. Thank you, mama. I didn’t grow up with Nip, but I watched Nip grow up in front of me.

"Real recognize real," he concluded. "The Marathon is going to continue! I’m going to end it like this. This man got a letter from Barack Obama. My last bars will be: For God so loved the world that he gave us a great Crip, the late, great neighborhood Nip. Rest in peace, Cuz!"
