It’s stallion season!
Megan Thee Stallion has been burning up the charts since she first blazed into the rap game from Houston. Her career hit another milestone when she dropped her highly-anticipated debut album, Fever, and it landed on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. Since the start of 2019, the femcee has been staking her claim as one of rap’s most promising stars.
On Wednesday (June 5), the rising rapper had another moment where she proved herself more than deserving of all the hype she's been getting. She didn't just bring the heat. She brought the whole kitchen.
The Houston rapper caught up with Sway Calloway on his radio talk show Sway in the Morning to chop it up about her album, balancing school with her burgeoning career, and female empowerment. While he had her in the hot seat, Sway had the 24-year-old drop a freestyle for her fans.
“One common thread throughout all her projects is she got bars,” Sway proclaimed as his crew fired up some beats for a session of their 5 Finger Freestyle. “She got a skillset. I listen to the patterns. I listen to the melodies. I listen to the wordplay. She got vocabulary.”
Never afraid to put her skills to the test, Megan was all game.
“First of all, I ain’t sorry for a m****rf***ing thing / Standing ten toes hard down on anything I say / And I got these b****es mad at me because they know I’m hot / And I got you haters sick ‘cause I’m everything you not,” she spits over Tupac’s infamous diss track ‘Hit ‘Em Up.’
Megan showed some love back with her own fangirl moment. "Oh I just fainted. I love you," she retweeted Taraji.
Fans are beside themselves over the freestyle. “I started it over cuz I KNEW she was bout to snap. And she delivered,” one fan commented.
