Yung Miami Reveals Pregnancy In Emotional Clip From Upcoming City Girls Documentary

“And for the record JT has nothing to do with me being pregnant she is so supportive and can’t wait for our newest addition!“

Congratulations are in order!

On Tuesday (June 11), Yung Miami confirmed that she is pregnant with her second child. Amid the rap duo’s rapidly growing acclaim for meteoric hits like “Twerk” and “Act Up,” the news comes as a pleasant surprise to fans.

Yung Miami, born Caresha Brownlee, has been holding down the Miami-established rap duo and repping from the outside while her City Girls halver Jatavia “JT” Johnson serves out a jail sentence. In an Instagram post previewing the upcoming City Girls documentary, their rise from the streets of Miami to the world stage is painted for the entire rap world to see.

  • “I’ve been going back and forth to share this moment with my fans,” she wrote in the caption of the IGTV clip. “But on MY TERMS! I wanted to share this with y’all. No one knows what is best for me but GOD, and this was just his timing for me.”

The clip opens with JT and Yung Miami in Los Angeles celebrating  after just signing their contract with music label Quality Control.

Around the 2-minute mark, Yung Miami is seen, alone, talking on the phone with Pierre “Pee” Thomas, the co-founder and CEO of Quality Control. Emotionally, she reveals that she’s pregnant and is concerned about the news in JT's absence. Though she has not yet confirmed the father of her child, Yung Miami is currently dating 808 Mafia producer and rap artist, Southside. Miami also has a son from a previous relationship prior to her rap career taking off.

  • Before her call ends with Pee, he offers Miami some words of support. “I’m gonna call you back. We’ll get this figured out man,” Thomas promises before the call ends. City Girls fans everywhere showered Miami in support and assured the rising rapper that they would continue holding the rap pair down through thick and thin— period!

BET sends its congratulations to Yung Miami and wishes her a healthy pregnancy.
