West Coast rap rookie Blueface’s volatile flare-up with his mother and sister on Instagram Live is at the center of contention on Monday (July 1) after footage of the altercation hit the internet late Sunday night (June 30).
According to different understandings of the incident, Blueface, real name Johnathan Michael Porter, physically removed his mom and sister’s belongings from his residence after bringing in two women he named as his “girlfriends.” The squabble reportedly began after one of the women rubbed his sister the wrong way when she entered the home and failed to greet them. As shown in the footage, the tension grew into a disturbingly physical confrontation between Porter and his sister.
Recorded on his mother’s Instagram Live, Porter is seen shoving and kicking his sister down the stairs as she yells, presumably, for one of the women to come down. His mom also states that they refuse to leave the house until the police arrive. “We gonna wait for the cops since you hit girls today,” his mother says. “You’re gonna got to jail.” In another clip, she shows her belongings scattered across the ground, which she said was Porter’s doing. After more back and forth, his mom and sister are seen outside gathering their things in a vehicle as his sister reveals that they’ve officially been kicked out for his two new girlfriends.
Porter later shows the two girls lying across his couch, and then in a later clip, leaning on his shoulders. “PSA: These ain’t my h**es, these my girlfriends,” he says as they smile for the camera.
Clarifying that she’s no free-loader, she stated that she was only at his place to wait for her new apartment that was supposed to be ready for her the next day, and their mom was only visiting. Reminding him of his humble beginnings, before the rap world was introduced to Blueface, she expressed her resentment toward the new turn of his rap lifestyle. “F**k a Blueface, I want Johnathan back I’d rather us be broke again,” she wrote, “F**k being [quiet] I’m hot!”
Digging up an old video where he gifted his mother $10,000, the 22-year-old vaguely spoke to the incident and, instead, claimed he’d “take this on the chin.” Especially, considering no one knows the real story, as far as his perspective is concerned.
And some of the fans have a message for Blueface as well.
