Soulja Boy Was Released From Jail 5 Months Early

He is walking free after serving three months behind bars.

Soulja Boy can turn his swag back on. Big Draco is officially free and back out in the streets of Los Angeles. According to Los Angeles Police Department records obtained by TMZ, Soulja secured himself an early release from jail. The outlet found in the records that the 28-year-old was released from a Los Angeles jail early in the morning on Sunday (July 14).

  • Soulja was originally sentenced to 240 days behind bars, but his early release means he is getting out about five months ahead of schedule. In total, he spent about three months behind bars.

The Sheriff’s Department confirmed to TMZ that Soulja was indeed a free man, revealing that Draco got out early partly due to a combination of good behavior combined with the time he’s already served, but also because the jail house he was being held at is overcrowded.

  • In April, Soulja was arrested and sentenced to jail after violating his probation stemming from 2016 firearm charges. On top of that, a judge mandated that he do 265 days of community service.

No word on whether he has to still complete his community service. But TMZ did report that his kidnapping case has been dropped after prosecutors tossed the case out due to a lack of evidence.
