Interscope Records Released A Statement Addressing Juice WRLD's Passing
The hip-hop community is still reeling from the reverberating shockwaves following the untimely death of Chicago hip-hop artist, Juice WRLD. The loss of the young rap star, who had just celebrated his 21st birthday six days prior on December 2, pummeled the hearts of fans and fellow artists across the music industry as tributes for the young MC have continued to pour in since Sunday morning (December 8).
Many of Juice WRLD’s contemporaries, colleagues, and close friends took to social media to remember Juice WRLD as they shared tributes and some of the final intimate moments they shared with the Chicagoan in an ode to his legacy.
Now, his record label home, Interscope Records, has released a statement regarding his death.
Taking to Twitter, Interscope Records shared their heartfelt condolences for his loved ones and fans.
“Juice made a profound impact on the world in such a short period of time. He was a gentle soul, whose creativity knew no bounds, an exceptional human being and artist who loved and cared for his fans above everything else,” the statement reads alongside a black-and-white portrait of Juice WRLD. “To lose someone so kind and so close to our hearts is devastating. Our thoughts are with Juice’s family and friends, everyone at his label Grade A, and his millions of fans around the world.”
As previously reported, Juice WRLD, born Jarad A. Higgins, suddenly passed away Sunday morning (Dec. 8) after reportedly suffering a seizure moments after his private plane landed at Chicago’s Midway airport.
According to TMZ, paramedics arrived to find the rapper bleeding from his mouth. Reports state that Juice WRLD was still conscious when he was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival. Most recently, the burgeoning rap star had dropped his highly-anticipated sophomore studio album, Death Race For Love, that quickly climbed the charts.
