Bronx rap star Cardi B has inadvertently become one of the best comedic reliefs amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic spiraled to statewide curfews and quarantines, Cardi posted a short video to Instagram last week sharing how she felt about the respiratory illness sweeping across the nation. In that same video, she also called out Donald Trump over his administration's unpreparedness for the pandemic.
“Let me tell y’all something. I ain’t gon’ front. A b**ch is scared. I’m a little scared. S**t got me panicking,” she admitted to her 60 million followers. In closing, she advised anyone listening to take the outbreak seriously before things get worse. “Coronavirus! Coronavirus! I’m telling you, s**t is real! S**t is getting real” she warned.
Cardi’s sentiments have since been turned into a viral “Coronavirus Remix, and taken off as a dance challenge across social platforms. And now it’s getting the meme treatment too.
The Trump administration has repeatedly come under fire for its lack of response to abate the coronavirus crisis as the number of cases continue to soar across the U.S. Thus, people have gotten creative with voicing their dissatisfaction over how the government is handling the pandemic.
A new meme of Cardi interrupting Trump during a speech at one of his rallies is circulating around social media. In the clip, Trump is about to speak when he turns around in shock after a doctored Cardi pops up out of thin air to interrupt him with her coronavirus rant. “Coronavirus! I’m telling you!” Cardi says before she disappears as Mike Pence and other officials rush onto the stage.
Cardi joked on Twitter.
Fans are also losing it and dying from laughter over the hilarious mock scenario.
“These people on the internet bruh…,” one user tweeted.
"They better stop before we dont get those monthly checks," a second joked.
