The Rihanna Navy Is Rejoicing Over Rihanna’s Verse For ‘Believe It’...
After years of speculation and waiting, Rihanna has finally made her long-awaited comeback to music.
OVO signee PartyNextDoor’s first album in nearly four years, Partymobile, arrived on streaming platforms at the stroke of midnight on Friday (March 27). Embedded on the release were vocals provided courtesy of the bad gyal herself for the album’s tenth track, “Believe It.”
Ahead of the album’s release, snippets of the rumored track surfaced online, but fans were cautiously waiting to see if the collab was real after PND unveiled the tracklist without any featured artists listed. While it's not the long-awaited album that her fans have been eagerly anticipating since 2016’s Anti, fans were pleasantly surprised to see her return back to music nonetheless.
Soon after the record dropped, Rihanna alerted her 95 million-strong Navy fanbase on Twitter. “Believe it!! @partynextdoor album live!!!”
According to Billboard, “Believe It” is the first song Rih has been featured on since her 2017 fan-favorite collaboration with N.E.R.D. on “Lemon.” Entertainment Weekly noted that Rih only accounts for 40 seconds of the smooth R&B track and she mostly comes in at the chorus where she sings, “Best make me believe it/ Best make me believe it/ Believe you won't deceive me.” Regardless, the Navy has assembled and is begging, as in Rihanna’s words, to please don’t stop the music. Now, the Navy is even more anticipated to see what she will release when her long-rumored R9 album finally drops.
“RIHANNA THE SINGER IS REALLY BACK BACK?!” one fan gushed on Twitter.
“Finally,” a second rejoiced.
“The song’s dope you did THAT,” a third chimed in.
