Lil Nas X Responds To 50 Cent’s Criticism Of His Halloween Costume

The “Old Town Road” rapper slammed the rap mogul.

Lil Nas X has responded to 50 Cent after the rap mogul commented on his Nicki Minaj Halloween costume.

  • As Halloween was in full swing over the weekend, the “Old Town Road” rapper paid homage to Minaj by recreating the rap empress’ outfit that she wore in the music video of  her 2011 hit song “Super Bass,” and he pulled out all the stops. He donned a blond wig with pink highlights and bangs along with a neon pink bodysuit.

The 21-year-old took to social media to show off the epic transformation. “NAS MARAJ,” he captioned the post.

  • While Lil Nas X mostly received praise for his spot-on costume on social media there were those who weren’t as accepting, including 50 Cent.

The rap mogul took to Twitter on Saturday (Oct. 31) to share his reaction after seeing Lil Nas X’s costume. “What the f**k, Nikki [sic] come get him!!! Lol,” he wrote in response.

It didn’t take long for his sentiments to reach Lil Nas X, who swiftly fired back, “why u in barb business.”

  • The tweet has since been deleted but he later tweeted out, “bro i don’t bother a soul in this industry. All I do is tweet and make bangers. leave me alone damn.”

  • Meanwhile, Lil Nas X’s history-making single, “Old Town Road,” recently reached another milestone. Last week, popular music industry analytics system Chart Data reported via Twitter that the single has now tied John Legend’s “All of Me” and “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber as the most streamed single of all time.
