Kim Kardashian may not have been able to keep up with her fans over the past few days, but the new mom couldn't stay silent for long. Kardashian, who gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday morning, sent a quick note to her pal Ryan Seacrest, which the radio host read on air during his morning show on KIIS FM.
"Can't believe it! So crazy!!" Kim exclaimed after Seacrest sent her a congratulatory message. Seacrest also confirmed that Kim and her as-yet-unnamed baby are both healthy and doing fine and that the infant came in at just under five pounds.
The reality star, 32, went into labor a month before her due date and had her family scrambling to be there for the delivery. "This was not planned," an insider said. "This came on very quickly. The whole family was dispersed all over the place."
Her boyfriend Kanye West, however, had been by her side throughout. West canceled his appearance at his own record release party, for his album Yeezus which dropped on Tuesday, to be with Kim after she complained she was feeling "off" the night before she went into labor. A source tells RadarOnline.com that "medical complications" forced the star into early birth.
As for those wondering if the drama-filled birth will be part of Kardashian's reality show, a source confirms that while cameras were rolling during the birth, the footage is for family use only and not for television.
Rumor has it that the couple will soon announce the name of their dark-haired little girl, who sources say looks "just like Kim." HollywoodLife.com speculates that Kai Georgia Donda West is at the top of the list.
