Michelle Obama Debuts Instagram Account

FLOTUS shares photos and videos from her Africa tour with her family.

Michelle Obama has launched another social media account that will give us glimpses into the first lady's life. In her first Instagram photo, Obama poses with daughter Malia and a group of women during her visit to Senegal.

"My first instagram! So inspired and so impressed by these extraordinary young women. -mo #FLOTUSinAfrica," read the caption.

And with Instagram's newest video addition to the popular photo app, we're already seeing movie clips from FLOTUS. Her first photo was soon followed by a video of students from the Martin Luther King all-girls school in Dakar dancing during a welcome ceremony for the first lady.

"You all are role models for my daughters, which is why I brought them here today - so that they could be inspired by you just like I am," Obama told the students, a moment that was captured in another Instagram shot.

Aside from being thrilled to finally have her share these snippets of her life on Instagram, we're loving her style picks for her Africa tour from fun, patterned tops to floral summery dresses.

And it seems her fans are loving it, too, as she currently has 228,464 followers while she's only following the @whitehouse account (which launched last week). To follow the first lady on Instagram, visit her account @michelleobama. Just like her other social media accounts, those that sign off with "-mo" are written directly by FLOTUS.
