Ja Rule may be staring down a bleak two-year prison sentence, but the once-prominent rapper is certainly making the most of a bad situation. In addition to planning to release two new albums in the near future (one on the day before his incarceration), the "Put It on Me" singer has just announced plans for a 40-city world tour that he says will kick off the day he gets out of prison.

“My ‘40 Days/40 Nights Around the World’ tour is being set up right now,” Rule told Rap-Up.com. “I want the bus to come straight to the prison and take me to my first show. Put my family on the bus, have them come to the first few cities, send them back home, and let me keep going. It’ll be international; 40 cities in 40 nights. I’ll be so fresh and ready to go.”

This past December Ja Rule was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to gun possession charges. In addition to the post prison tour, he plans to release Pain Is Love 2, the sequel to his triple platinum 2001 album, on June 7. He begins his sentence on June 8. Another album, The Renaissance Project, is also said to be in the works, although it does not yet have a release date.
