Kelly Rowland Sets Release Date for Here I Am

The R&B singer plans to drop often-delayed album on July 26

Although former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland has been talking about her upcoming album Here I Am for a while now, it's looking like it's finally going to be released, and a lot sooner than expected.

According to Rap-Up, Kelly's third solo project is headed for store shelves July 26.

After being shelved by Kelly herself last year and not having a solid release date up until now, the project has been bumped up presumably due to the strength of her latest single, "Motivation," which currently sits at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

This is really good news for Kelly, who's been sitting on the album for almost a year now, waiting on it to be ready. "It's the year of the woman," Kelly told just after she debuted the Lil Wayne-assisted single "Motivation" on 106 and Park this past April. "And it's all about celebration of women and that's what I really focused on when I was listening for what I wanted on the album. And…we were supposed to release the album last year but I wanted to hold it because I felt like it wasn't done."

Kelly has collaborated with producers/songwriters Rico Love, Tricky Stewart, Dr. Luke, Stargate, Salaam Remi, Jim Jonsin, RedOne, Ester Dean and more to help complete the project.

Rowland will be juggling the promotion schedule of the forthcoming album with her new role as a judge on the UK's "X-Factor."
