Soulja Boy Under Fire For Army Diss

Hardly recognized for his lyrical contributions to hip hop, Soulja Boy is receiving criticism for some offensive lyrics he spit during a recent video freestyle. The 21 year old rapper posted a video in which he raps, “f--- the FBI and the army troops…fighting for what? Be your own man…I’ll be flying through the clouds with green like Peter Pan.”


According to, military veteran groups are calling for an apology from SB. Fred A. Flores a retired Marine who is the commissioner of the L.A. County Veteran’s Advisory Commission called out the rapper for his poor choice of words and bad timing.


“It’s a very offensive statement,” Flores told TMZ. “Es[ecially with the 10th anniversary of 9/11 coming up.”


Flores demanded that Soulja step up and issue an apology to “all armed forces.”


He added, “[The rap] is very irresponsible…especially for a person who is an entertainer for the youth of our country.”


Soulja Boy’s camp has yet to respond to the criticism.
