Slim Dunkin Killed Over Dispute About Candy

Atlanta police say Slim Dunkin was shot during fist fight over sweets.

Atlanta police are still on the hunt for the person who gunned down rapper Slim Dunkin over the weekend. According to WSBTV, detectives on the case have discovered that the dispute the Waka Flocka Flame affiliate got into with the unidentified assailant was over candy.
"This fight spilled out into this area where he was attacked... Based on the evidence we have whoever he was fighting with secured a weapon and shot him," said Detective David Quinn of the Atlanta Police Department.
As previously reported, Dunkin was shot and killed Friday evening [December 16] in an Atlanta recording studio. Police Maj. Keith Meadows told The Associated Press that the rapper, born Mario Hamilton, was shot in the chest after getting into an argument with another individual. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
"It appears the victim was scheduled to do a photo shoot," Meadows said. "Before the video shoot took place, it appears the victim and suspect got involved in a verbal altercation. We don't know what that altercation was about... The suspect produced a weapon, discharged that handgun one time, striking the victim in the chest."
Meadows said that police have not been able to identify the suspect or recover the weapon that was used in the shooting, which took place around 5:30 p.m. He said as many as 20 people were inside the small building at the time of the incident, and that they are interviewing them to figure out what happened. Investigators remained at the scene for several hours.
