Madonna Calls Her Son the N-Word on Instagram

Madge deletes post, fires back at critics "get off my d--k."

Thirty years in the game and Madonna is still stirring up drama. Last night she posted a photo of her 13-year-old son, Rocco, to her Instagram account with the caption: "No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disn---a." In the photo, Rocco is punching an opponent in a boxing ring.

The response was immediate. It has 18,000 likes, but the conversation below the photo is a whole lot more interesting, with commenters battling over the appropriateness of her hashtag and whether or not she is racist. The back and forth included the following exchange:

thehausoffrilloux @bruce____banner 'don't quote me. Plus, you're white. You will never know what it's like to live in a black persons shoes on a daily basis. I on the other hand DO how ? B/c I am BLACK. I see nothing offensive about the joke she made. I thought it was funny TBH. I love you Madge & will continue to support everything you do f--k the haters! & bye Bruce, her daughter is black..."

bruce____banner @thehausoffrilloux "I don't but I'm way more empathetic then your self hating a--. Every other black person agreed. You are part of the problem, and that's why the disrespect will continue. #selfhate"

In reaction to the firestorm, Madonna changed the caption: "Ok let me start this again. #get off of my d--k haters!" But apparently she realized that doesn't constitute an apology for her racially insensitive remark, and asked for forgiveness, according to ABC News.

"Forgive me. I am sorry if I offended anyone with my use of the N word on Instagram. It was not meant as a racial slur. I am not a racist. There's no way to defend the use of the word. It was all about intention," she said. "It was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white. I appreciate that it's a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression."

The year is young, but this is the second time this year that Madge has offended folks on IG. Earlier this month, she posted a photo of Rocco and a couple of his friends with bottles of liquor. Her response: "No one was drinking we were just having fun! Calm down and get a sense of humor! Don't start the year off with judgement!"
