Big K.R.I.T. Announces Release of New Album, CADILLACTICA

A 35-second trailer introduces Mississippi rapper's sophomore LP.

Published March 11, 2014

After releasing one song per day for his #WeekofKRIT (including features from Rick Ross, A$AP Ferg and Smoke DZA), Big K.R.I.T. premiered the trailer for his next full-length LP, CADILLACTICA.

The 35-second black-and-white clip is simple and sleek in its execution. In it, the Mississippi-bred emcee is seen, of course, riding around in a Caddy (a time-honored tradition for a Southern Playa), while the track builds and he chants the U.S.-made machine's name with equally ascending intensity. He then punctuates the video with one message, "f--k your whip, n---a."

CADILLACTICA is a follow-up to K.R.I.T.'s Def Jam debut, Live From the Underground, which opened in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 in 2012; and his critically acclaimed, self-titled, 10th mixtape, King Remembered in Time, which released in April 2013.

Both collections were entirely produced by K.R.I.T. himself (save for one 9th Wonder track on the latter).

The Music Matters's artist has also released a documentary short during the #WeekofKRIT, revealing the behind the scenes of his recent time on the road with Macklemore.

CADILLACTICA is expected this fall. is your #1 source for Black celebrity news, photos, exclusive videos and all the latest in the world of hip hop and R&B music.
