K. Michelle's rift with Elle Varner was never as big as it was made out to be, she now says. Michelle shaded Varner via Instagram a couple of weeks ago after the "Rehab" singer posted a photo cuddling Meek Mill. 

Responding to a fan question about the Varner beef she tweeted, "I'll always luv her, we are just going through friend stuff. Media blew it up."

In another tweet Michelle cleared up the speculation that the once close friends were fighting over Meek. When a fan inquired if there was something going on between her and the rapper, Michelle replied, "NOTHING. That's my home boy. Real dude! Don't believe what you read."

Michelle didn't address whether or not their issue revolved around Varner's song "Cold Case," which she claims to have co-written. Varner insists that she wrote the song alone. "That's unfortunate that she feels that way," she said of Michelle's shots at her on social media. "I don't. I never have…I don't do drama. I don't."

Prior to their blow up, Michelle and Varner were as close as sisters. On her birthday this year Michelle wrote a touching message to her friend, "Thanks for having my back and being such a beautiful soul. I don't trust a lot of people, but you my dear will always have my support."
