K. Michelle Gushes Over Meek Mill, Shades Elle Varner

"Can't Raise a Man" singer jumps into The Breakfast Club's hot seat.

K. Michelle swung by Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club this morning (Sept. 18) to air out all of the rumors that have been floating around her lately. The Memphis singer talked about her platonic but flirty relationship with Meek Mill, the Ellle Varner fallout, her Twitter spat with Lil' Kim and adressed a Soulja Boy rumor, all in under 30 minutes.

There was of course lots to cover and, judging by the “Can't Raise a Man” singer’s jovial mood, her comments were all very lighthearted. Speaking about Meek (her former "Man Crush Monday" selection) Michelle noted, “I never swung on his pole,” with a laugh before addressing Varner as “curly head.”

The women’s friendship crumbled because Michelle believes Varner jacked her vocal style. “I’m the only b---h yodeling in these hooks and stuff. You can’t do this,” Michelle said about “Cold Case,” one of Varner’s songs. “She went and put it [the song] out, management told me they didn’t like the record, and they wasn’t gon’ put it out. Next thing I look up, she’s singing it.”

If the song story wasn’t bad enough, Varner taking a photo hugged up with Meek didn’t make things better. Michelle reacted by blasting her on Instagram. The singer explained why the song made her jump to another management team. “It was handled improperly,” she decided. “For you to say I can’t sing certain type of records because it’s not time and they’re too big for me, I don’t think that’s appropriate, but then she [Varner] can put out the same identical record because that’s your curly-haired good girl, and you want me to be the broken-hearted bitter Betty black girl singing in the hole in the walls forever?”

Michelle isn’t having the best luck with her female friends these days. She and Kimmy Blanco went at it recently over a Nicki Minaj tweet. In hindsight, Michelle said her intention wasn't to slight Kim by supporting Minaj and that she likes them both. “Yes, I still like Nicki, and Kim, when your song comes on — the old music — I’m still gon’ shake my a-- to that and have me a good time. But how you did me? That was very petty. You have a new baby, shouldn’t your breast be in that baby’s mouth?”

Soulja Boy got a tongue lashing, too, for insinuating that he had sex with Michelle. “Let me tell you something, Soulja Boy, 'cuz I know you gon’ hear this," she started. "What you’re not gonna do is lie on my hot pocket. When I do something, I say I did it, and that’s what it is … now crank that!”
