Malia Obama's Selfie Now Under White House Investigation

The first daughter's viral moment is getting a deeper look.

In 2015, a selfie is just an innocent way to show off to friends, but Malia Obama's recent photo got the social media world talking and has the White House scratching their heads.

On Sunday, the photo of the first daughter in the Pro Era shirt seen above surfaced on Masked Gorilla's Twitter account. Nobody knew where the photo came from, but social media enthusiasts everywhere gave their two cents, shared the photo and moved on. Then, Pro Era posted the picture on their Instagram account, which caused it to go viral, eventually raising eyebrows about the origin of the pic.

According to a rep for Joey Bada$$, Pro Era received the photo from a mutual friend of Malia and the crew. Masked Gorilla is also saying that they received the selfie from a mutual friend, according to

The White House is investigating how the photo got out for obvious reasons, which clearly involve the security and safety of the eldest first daughter.
