Last year Mariah Carey reminded us who she was (in case we forgot) with the album Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse, and today she announced the name of her new album.
On May 18, Carey will release #1 to Infinity, which will feature 18 of her No. 1 hits as well as a brand new single titled "Infinity." The song will also come with a visual directed by Mimi's long-time friend and collaborator Brett Ratner.
This album will be Mariah's first release on Epic and comes just in time for her Vegas residency, both of which she signed on to do earlier this year.
L.A. Reid, Epic's Chairman and CEO, is enthusiastic about the release and what Mariah has in store for the future.
"There is really no one who comes close to Mariah as both a songwriter and a singer, and as the world knows, her vocal range is legendary and truly incomparable," he said.
18 seems like Mariah's magical number so far as she has that many dates locked in for her residency. If you want to see her do what she does best, check out the available dates here.
