Jimmy Winfrey takes plea deal.

The man who shot up Lil Wayne's tour bus was sentenced to 20 years Friday. Jimmy Winfrey pleaded guilty to six of 27 counts related to the April shooting, TMZ reports.

A Cobb County judge ordered Winfrey to serve a decade in prison. He will spend the remainder of the sentence on probation.

Winfrey was hit with gang-related charges for the shooting, which occurred amid a continuing money dispute between Birdman and Wayne. Authorities say Winfrey, who formerly worked as a tour manager for Young Thug, wanted to gain “street cred.”

A federal indictment named him along with Birdman and Thugger in a murder-for-hire plot against Wayne.

Birdman vehemently denied any involvement, though Winfrey reportedly used a phone registered to the Cash Money Records CEO after the shooting.
