UPDATE: Since the idea of an official Bad Boy reunion show was so popular, Diddy decided to add another date for more people have the oppurtunity to see a part of history re-created.
Taking to Twitter yesterday, the Bad Boy boss posted a video explaining that there's a second concert slated for Satruday, May 21 – the day after the initially announced show on May 20.
“We decided to add a second show,” he said. “A lot of people that have supported us through this whole journey – fans and everybody. So we want to make sure New York sees the show.”
PREVIOUSLY: Diddy recently announced that Bad Boy will be reuniting for a “one night only” concert at Brooklyn's Barclays Arena.
The May 20 show, marking what would be the Notorious B.I.G.’s 44th birthday, was announced via a statement by Puffy.
"This isn't just another concert – This is hip-hop history,” he said. "The Bad Boy Family includes some of the biggest names in music and songs that helped define a whole generation of music. Also, we are celebrating one of the greatest of all time - Notorious B.I.G. This will be a night to remember. I can't wait to see you all there."
Faith Evans, Lil Kim, Ma$e, 112, The LOX, Total, French Montana and Mario Winans are all slated to perform with Diddy at the concert, which also bills guest appearances by Mary J. Blige and Jay Z. Tickets go on sale Saturday (April 2) at 11 am EST through Live Nation.
The last time we saw Bad Boy perform together was at last year’s BET Awards. During that show, Diddy brought out Pharrell Williams win addition to those slated to perform at the upcoming concert. Will this be something similar to last summer? One thing’s for certain, this will be one hot ticket.
